Easter Sunday and British Summer Time begins.  I got up late this morning, 20 to 10 insted of 20 to 9.  Who moved them bl***y clocks forward?  Stupd idea that.  It must have been a strange day as I make no comment regarding my paper round, no mention of the word 'boring' (there's a turn up), but I did make a note, 'telly - crap - best thing Spitting Image 9.45 ITV'.  Spitting Image was well into its third series by now and was usually bang on the money in terms of its parody of the great and the good.  I remember one teacher at school asking us how we thought Ronald Reagan had become President of the USA if he behaved like his puppet did.  Looking back, I realise that the guy was playing devil's advocate, as good old Ronnie really was as bonkers as Fluck and Law and Chris Barrie would have had us believe.

Ooh, ooh, and of course, Condorman is on tomorrow...

Another windy day, and a c old one too.  School was "dead boring", apparently I played football in games.  I do remember this a certain annoyance. Not that I played football, I was a 16 year old boy - what's not to like about playing football? No, my gripe was that we, as the boys, were forced to go outside and play football, whilst the girls, were allowed to have the gym set up for them, to play badminton and other such crap sports, in the warm, whilst we had to go out in the cold. Shame eh? What's that line about the playing fields of Eton...?

Anyway, enough whinging, whilst we were enduring our "dead boring", cold and windy day at school, Micheal Heseltine (who he? - my diary comment) was busy at it down in Westminster.

Whoo.  Wow!  This was a seminal day for 1980's television, for BlackAdder II was broadcast for the first time.  It was, I noted, "Brill. Ace! FANTASTIC!!" Rowan Atkinson, who as well as playing the title role, had co-authored the first series, but had left the writing of this second series to Richard Curtis and Ben Elton.

We were back at school, which was boring and the weather was cold. It being my 'O' level year I had an interim report - unfortunately I make no mention of its contents.  However, I did have an insurance policy mature, delivering me the princely sum of £250.  Can't remember on what I frittered it away!

I also noted that Michael Heseltine resigned.  Must have been them bloody helicopters!
